Symbols in MagiCAD Electrical for AutoCAD

There are different symbols/symbol types in electrical

• model/plan drawing symbols
• switchboard schematic symbols
• system schematic symbols

Model/plan symbols and system schematic symbols:

You can create new MagiCAD symbols in MagiCAD for AutoCAD by drawing them directly or by using existing blocks. Rules when drawing: lines, polylines and solids are allowed. Hatches are not. You can also add attributes to your symbol/symbols. Switchboard schematic symbols:

Same rules apply for drawing but there are other differences in workflow. More information from our user manual chapter 7.
